— Roof cleaning and treatments
Your roof works hard. Protect it.
Moss, lichen, and algae don't just look bad… They actively damage your roof over time. We offer two premium options to clean and protect, depending on what your roof actually needs.
— Two premium options
We’ll recommend the right one for your roof.
Every roof is different. We'll assess what's going on and recommend the approach that makes the most sense in conjunction with your expectations going in, whether that's an immediate result or gradual long-term protection.
Roof Softwash
Instant results, same day. A safe, low-pressure chemical clean that wipes out moss, lichen, and grime without damaging tiles or shingles. You'll see the difference immediately.
On tank water? No worries — we disconnect downpipes before we start to keep your supply safe.
Roof Treatment
A slow-release option that works over time. The treatment is applied and left to kill organic growth at the root. Results develop over 2–4 months and typically last 12–24 months.
Ideal for ongoing maintenance and often the most cost-effective long-term option.
Both options extend your roof's life, boost curb appeal, and prevent costly repairs. Not sure which is right for you? Call us and we can give you our honest and professional advice!
— Why it matters
What is really happening on your roof?
Most people can't see their roof from the ground — which means the damage builds up quietly. Here's what's actually going on up there, and what it leads to if left unchecked.
Stage 2
Spores Take Hold
Stage 1
Clean Roof
Stage 3
Roots Penetrate Tiles
Stage 4
Leaks and Costly Repairs
A regular roof clean or treatment keeps your roof at Stage 1 indefinitely. It removes biological growth before the root systems can do lasting damage
— Common questions
Good to know.
-
A roof clean removes surface grime, lichen and moss immediately. A roof treatment is a chemical application that kills organic growth over time (typically 3–4 months, but this depends on severity).
-
Usually 12–24 months depending on shade, moisture, and environment.
-
We take all precautions such as roof runoff diversion, tank disconnection, down pipe disconnection, pre-wetting vegetation) to ensure safety. Please let us know if you’re on tank water before we arrive!
-
If you can see dark streaking, green patches, or actual moss growth from the ground, it's overdue. If you can't see anything but your roof is more than 2 years old and hasn't been treated, it's worth getting someone to take a look. We're happy to give you an honest assessment with no obligation to book.
